Excellent Super 8

For a budget friendly hotel, it was excellent and exceeded my expectation. I was impressed with the cleanliness and highly recommend this Super 8. The room had been recently updated, the area is very quite and feels safe.

SUPER Super 8

This place is awesome and easy to get to right on a main highway with plenty of businesses nearby!. It's very nice looking and the lobby was spotless. The room was huge and modern and clean as a whistle. The bed was big and comfy. There was a table with two chairs and plenty of places to plug in the laptops and phones. It's too bad we couldn't stay longer, but we will definitely go back again asap. You'll enjoy the friendly and fun desk clerk, too.

Things to Do

Rosa Parks Library and Museum

This tribute to the "Mother of the Civil Rights Movement" honors Rosa Parks, the African-American woman who, in 1955, sparked the civil rights movement by refusing to give her bus seat to a white man. The museum helps visitors relive this tumultuous era with a video, artifacts, historical documents, a lifesize statue of Rosa Parks and a replica of the bus in which she sat that day.

Civil Rights Memorial Center

The Civil Rights Memorial Center is sponsored by the Southern Poverty Law Center in downtown Montgomery. It includes a great deal of educational information about the Civil Rights Movement, a movie about the movement, and a memorial monument. $2.00 admission is charged.

First White House of the Confederacy

Built in 1835, this was the home of the Confederacy President, Jefferson Davis.
