My Stay

5.0/5.0

The room was clean and orderly with everything working and all that I needed, comfortable beds and even better pillows. The room was displayed well upon my walking in the room. The breakfast area was clean and tidy with more than enough choices. Upon check in I was greeted very pleasantly which made me feel very comfortable and appreciated, which...

Excellent

Very happy with everything, we were happy to bring cash home as we usually pay over twice as much. Much more convenient to pull up to the door on Days Inns.

Very nice for the price.

Very nice for the price. They were lacking in the breakfast department. We were in there at 9am and there wasn't anything but cereal. No waffles or muffins or fruit.

Things to Do

Okefenokee Swamp Park

The Wonderworld of Okefenokee is a significant part of America’s heritage, a beautifully preserved segment of what was here when America began. Headwaters of the Suwannee and St. Mary’s Rivers, Okefenokee is a National Wildlife Refuge and an impressive recent addition to the National Wilderness System. Okefenokee Swamp Park is a convenient point of entry and a magnificent show-window for this natural wonderland. The park lily-decked water trails, with their miraculously reflective waters mirroring overhanging beauty, lead to all points in this vast wilderness of islands, lakes, jungles, forest and prairies.

Laura S. Walker State Park

Located near the northern edge of the mysterious Okefenokee Swamp, this park is home to many fascinating creatures and plants, including alligators and carnivorous pitcher plants. Walking or biking along the lake’s edge and nature trail, visitors may spot the shy gopher tortoise, numerous oak varieties, saw palmettos, yellow shafted flickers, warblers, owls and great blue herons. The park’s lake offers opportunities for fishing, swimming and boating, and kayaks and bicycles are available for rent. The Lakes, a championship 18-hole golf course, features a clubhouse, golf pro and junior/senior rates. Greens are undulating rather than tiered. Each fairway and landing area is defined with gentle, links-style mounds that accent the course’s three large lakes. The park’s namesake was a Georgia writer, teacher, civic leader and naturalist who loved trees and worked for their preservation.
